Bluetooth Is Coming: Meet the airlogOne App

With our next software release, every airlogOne device will speak Bluetooth. This one change opens the door to something we’re excited to introduce: the “airlogOne app” – a mobile companion that brings your jump data with you, no WiFi hotspot required.

What’s New

The upcoming firmware update adds Bluetooth communication across all airlogOne devices. Alongside it, we’re releasing a dedicated mobile app that connects directly to your device over Bluetooth, so you can log, review, and configure without needing to be near a WiFi hotspot.

The app is currently in development and testing. It will launch first on the Apple AppStore for iOS, followed – after a short test phase – by the Google PlayStore for Android.

What You Can Do With the App

The airlogOne app brings many of the views you already know from the airlog.app browser dashboard straight to your phone:

  • Logbook – your jump history, wherever you are. The detail view even lets you snap a photo with your phone and attach it directly to the jump

  • Trackview – review your tracks on the go, with 2D and 3D views and altitude and groundspeed readouts
  • Configuration – set up your device from your phone
  • Target definition – via map or coordinates – direct transfer
  • Data transfer – sync jumps without needing WiFi

The cloud remains the central database behind it all. Every jump you sync is available both in the app and in the browser dashboard, so nothing is siloed between devices. For the more complex analysis views, we’ll keep those on the browser dashboard – a larger screen simply makes it easier to compare data side by side.

Configuration, Simplified

One feature we’re particularly excited about: configuring your airlogOne device directly from the app. Changes can be made quickly and loaded onto your device on the spot – even at the boarding zone, with no computer or WiFi in sight.

This makes tasks like setting a landing target especially easy: just tap the spot on the map view, and your goal is set – fast, intuitive, and ready before you board the plane.

Join the Test Phase

The Bluetooth firmware update is scheduled for release next month. Alongside it, we’re inviting everyone to join the iOS test phase of the airlogOne app.
